Emily Kelley

Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LLMSW

I was born and raised in the Golden State of California, spent some years in the rainy Pacific Northwest where I got my Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from Portland State University, and ended up in Michigan where I got my Master of Social Work (MSW) from University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. I pride myself on my compassion, humor, and curiosity which drives my interpersonal practice.

I worked in the field of Veterinary Medicine for over ten years where I gained a deep understanding and passion for the human-animal bond, inspiring me to pursue a career in Social Work. I care immensely and advocate for the well-being and empowerment of my clients to live the life they want to live. I help my clients work through issues such as anxiety, depression, and trauma while assisting them in understanding the intricacies of their mental health journey. I am trained in modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and others.

I am often joined by my dog Limbo who is lovingly known as a “Dognitive Behavioral Therapist”, although he currently holds no official certifications.
