Erin Hawks

PhD, LP

Dr. Erin has a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Central Michigan University.  She has been working for the University of Oklahoma since 2012 in various capacities.  Currently, she is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the Health Sciences Center.  As a licensed clinical psychologist, she obtains two areas of expertise: 1) Conducting therapy with children and adults presenting with various psychiatric difficulties, and 2) Conducting psychological test batteries among children and adults that identify specific learning problems, the presence of ADHD, and other psychiatric difficulties.

Clinically, she is particularly passionate about working with underserved, diverse, minority populations of children, adolescents, and families presenting with complex medical, emotional, behavioral, and psychological difficulties. Her research interests are varied, but all share the commonality of an effort to identify the causal and maintaining factors preventing individuals from functioning at their best in the world.  In particular, her research looks at interventions that simultaneously improve physical, mental, and psychological health.
