Katie Wallace
Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LLMSW

My philosophy is good vibes, real conversations, meaningful change. I am a clinical mental health counselor with a passion for helping teens, families, and adults navigate life’s challenges. I earned my Bachelor of Social Work from Wayne State University in 2016 and my Master’s in Counseling from Central Michigan University in 2026, with a focus in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
My counseling approach is person-centered and grounded in the belief that mental health is connected to the mind, body, and soul. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients develop practical skills, build confidence, and create meaningful change. I am also currently working toward Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) certification.
Throughout my experience, I have worked with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, anger, daily stress, body image concerns, grief, life transitions, low self-esteem, sexuality-related concerns, and relationship challenges. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered in their healing journey.
My long-term goal is to integrate physical fitness and mental health, recognizing the important connection between physical well-being and emotional wellness. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process, and my goal is to meet each client where they are while supporting them as they work toward the life they want to build.
