Trauma & PTSD

What is Trauma & PTSD?
Trauma refers to an event or experience that causes severe mental and/or emotional stress or physical injury. These events can make it hard to go about day-to-day life.
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a a psychiatric condition triggered by experiencing or witnessing a terrifying or life-threatening event. Symptoms such as flashbacks, nightmares, depression, hypervigilance, and intrusive thinking can make the disorder debilitating without treatment.
