What is Depression?
Depression can affect the way you feel, think, and act. If you have deep feelings of sadness and disinterest in life. This diagnosis can inform struggles with doing normal day-to-day activities, sometimes feeling as if life isn’t worth living.
Depression may present as a feeling of sadness, tearfulness, emptiness, or hopelessness. It may also affect your pleasure in all or most activities, sex, and hobbies. Additionally, it can affect sleep, contributing to a lack of energy and increased exhaustion. However, depression is treatable, with work and time, depression symptoms can be managed and mitigated.
Depression Assistance
At our practice, we have many clinicans that specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of depression. With your therapist's guidance, you'll create a personalized treatment plan to develop better coping skills and support systems to treat depression at its core.
We offer CBT, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and DBT, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, as our two most common psychotherapies for treating depression, but many of our therapists utilize an eclectic approach to find a modality that best suits your needs.
