Child & Teen Therapy
Child Therapy (Ages 4-12)
Children experience many life transitions. Sometimes it is starting school for the first time, anxiety over performing well on tests or in sports, to changing schools, changes in family dynamics, or issues such as trauma and grief. Seeking therapy for your child can help them navigate these life experiences so they can focus on being a kid.

Sometimes, parents may seek assistance with behavioral issues; their child may not be sleeping well, they may be exhibiting defiant behavior, or lack of concentration. Therapy can help both children and parents to understand these behaviors and create a plan of action.
Teen Therapy (Ages 13-17)
The teenage years are a time of great change - children are in the process of becoming adults. Whether its the onset of puberty that brings changes in hormones or preparing to enter the adult world, therapy for teens can help them to understand their emotions and learn coping skills to assist them during these transitory years.

Like all ages, teens can also be affected by anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and other mental health issues. As a teen, it can feel very daunting to handle these issues on their own. Since teens are often also looking to seek independence, they may not want to approach their parents with these issues. A therapist can provide teens with a safe space to express their thoughts and emotions and explore ideas about who they are and want to be as an individual.
