Melody Montgomery
Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LLMSW
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan Dearborn (2014), a Master of Women’s and Gender Studies from Eastern Michigan (2016), and a Master of Social Work from Madonna University (2024). With a diverse background in social work since 2016, I have served as a homeless shelter case manager, foster care specialist, adoption specialist, juvenile justice advocate, group therapist at a substance abuse facility, crisis psych unit social worker, and am currently a dedicated therapist.
My primary goal is to provide a safe and supportive space for clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I have worked with a wide range of clients experiencing challenges such as substance abuse, trauma, anxiety, ADHD, self-esteem issues, divorce, relationship problems, peer relationships, and foster care. Additionally, I have experience working with clients who have autism, adoption, military background, intellectual disabilities, or LGBTQIA+ identity.
With a passion for helping clients aged 14-55, I utilize evidence-based approaches such as motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and strength-based therapy. I am
committed to creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where all clients feel heard, understood, and supported. As an LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist, I have experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds and am always seeking innovative ways to better serve my clients.
