Doaa Kassem
Therapist/Social Worker, LLMSW
Hello and welcome! As your therapist, I am dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and collaborative space where clients feel heard, understood, and respected throughout their healing journey. My approach is grounded in empathy, active listening, and strong therapeutic connection, with a focus on meeting each individual where they are.
My clinical interests include working with individuals and groups navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. I integrate evidence-based approaches tailored to each client’s needs, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and psychodynamic-informed therapy. My psychodynamic approach is especially helpful in supporting clients with trauma, as it allows for a deeper exploration of underlying patterns, past experiences, and emotional processes that may be shaping present-day challenges.
I am also fluent in Arabic and deeply committed to providing culturally responsive care. I recognize the importance of accessible and culturally attuned mental health support for Arabic-speaking individuals and strive to offer a space where clients feel comfortable expressing themselves in their native language and seen within their cultural context.
I believe therapy is a collaborative process, and I work alongside clients to support meaningful insight, growth, and lasting change at a pace that feels safe and sustainable for them.
