Franka Arcangeli
Franka is a board-certified mental health psychotherapist with a Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor. Franka was clinically trained by the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Michigan Health System, where she also conducted research on mental health. Franka went on to complete further training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Michigan School of Social Work Michigan Health System Hospital and University of Michigan Depression Center.
Franka’s primary focus is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She is also trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and Interpersonal work.
Franka has also been prestigiously selected as a field instructor by the University of Michigan.
I was looking for a sports physiologist for my 12 yr old son for baseball and life. Franka really helped my sons confidence at the plate and helped with his decision making. Franka was able to put real situation in perspective that would cause myson anxiety, which then caused mental errors. My sons had a break out season. He is calm at the plate and walks out with confidence. If bad things happen he is able to shake it off
and move on. Thanks to Franka!
I highly recommend Franka she has helped me out of some dark times that i have experienced for years she has guided me into making the necessary changes that I wanted to make in my life. You can tell she is very passionate about what she does and is there for all her clients. I am happy that I made the call to her because i have come a long way in such a short period of time!
Franka has such an extensive understanding of children and their
behaviors and takes the time to work closely with children to improve their cognitive abilities and develop useful life skills.

For the past decade I have suffered from anxiety and depression. I mostly deal with it through antidepressants and anxiolytic (as needed), but this time, the episode was so bad, I could not function without anxiety medication and could not deal with a slower medication taking so long to kick-in. I went into therapy because I felt so bad I wanted to try anything to alleviate my feelings, but to be honest I was a little skeptic. I am glad I went to therapy and specifically with Franka. I really opened up and told her things I have never told anyone before. This was great because it meant I had a great connection with the therapist. She gave me some reading material and guided me through difference mind exercises to identify and control my thought process that usually cause feelings on depression or anxiety. I continue to use anxiety medication, but I have been free from more dangerous ones for almost a month and I have noticed that my thought process has changed. I can now recognize negative thoughts before they affect how I feel.
Franka has helped my daughter immensely. She gained her trust through activities that put her at ease (like playing games). She has helped my daughter address confidence issues that allowed her to overcome mental blocks in her sport. This is one hour that my daughter looks forward to every week! I've seen such a difference in just a matter of
months. I highly recommend.
I was searching using referrals and reviews for a specialist in cognitive behavioral therapy, which was new to me. Because of Frank Arcangeli's excellent background and communication skills, and her individualized and supportive approach, our sessions absolutely exceed my expectations. Should have tried this approach years ago
